The capital increase of Swiss Re Ltd following the Public Exchange Offer was completed on 10 June 2011. National Indemnity Company is a direct wholly owned company of OBH LLC, 3555 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68131, USA, which in turn is a direct wholly owned subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway Inc. ("Berkshire"). Warren E. Buffet is an individual who may be deemed to control Berkshire for U.S. securities purposes, and, accordingly, Mr. Buffett may be deemed to control Berkshire for Swiss securities ownership reporting purposes.
